HOUSE CLEANING AND CARING

Clean house, clean planet

Our house represents us, it is the space that reflects our life expectations, it reminds us of the strongest values and nothing compares to the feeling of returning home. What a pleasant feeling to go to bed in freshly washed bedding, in a house squeaking with cleanliness! It's just not like that.

Numerous studies have shown that the air inside the house is usually even more polluted than the air outside, and contributing to this pollution are building and renovation materials, furniture, electronic devices, smoking and even solutions for cleaning and refreshing the house. So if you thought that a classic cleaning, followed by perfume from a room air freshener will give you a feeling of well-being, it would be advisable to give up this option and consider more environmentally friendly solutions.

How to clean your house without polluting?

  • Ventilate each room daily for at least 15 minutes.

  • Choose universal cleaning products and don't get caught in the trap of products dedicated to every object in the house.

  • Replace chlorine with natural apple cider vinegar - it is also very good for windows.

  • Give up chemical cleaning products and choose those with biodegradable and non-toxic compounds.

  • Open the windows while cleaning.

  • Create your own organic cleaning products using ingredients such as: vinegar, baking soda, citrus juice or essential oils.

  • Give up chlorine-based solutions to remove mold spores and use natural variants: vinegar diluted with a little water, tea tree oil solution, citrus seed extract or bicarbonate dissolved in water.

  • Do not start the washing machine or dishwasher for a few items, wait for it to fill and choose short washing programs.

  • Do not throw things in the toilet.

  • Do not spray excess cleaning products.

  • Use the dishwasher with confidence: it consumes less water than when washing by hand.

  • Remember to clean or change the air conditioning filters.

  • Use a herbal dish detergent and choose a natural dish sponge.

  • Replace disposable napkins with cotton cloths (you can use old T-shirts).

GOOD TO KNOW!

• Indoor plants not only absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, but also remove toxic chemicals from the air.

• Most room air fresheners release several potentially harmful chemicals, while scented candles can produce soot and other pollutants such as formaldehyde and acrolein.

• A mixture of pesticides, pollen, fungi, bacteria or feces is often found on the soles of shoes. Do not enter the house wearing shoes.

• Windows are cleaned perfectly and without traces with the help of newspapers - a good recycling idea.

• Lemon acts effectively against limestone.

• You can disinfect sponges, towels or wipes by boiling.
